hi brian--there can be a large variation between amps and speakers, obviously. speakers can get worn out, or saturated with too much moisture--any number of things to cause them to sound blahty. the difference you heard in the super might have been the difference between 10's and 12's. most of the time, 10's will sound a little tighter, while the 12--with the extra paper may sound like they're giving up easier--especially when cranked--thanks brent...
