hey frank, the ash guitars do sound great, but i've heard some great single as well as double coil models that sound great. wood amazes me in that just when you think you can formulate an opinion, a guitar comes along with the exact opposite components, and blows you away, there's just no way to make a blanket statement to me---try that combination, and you'll know when it's right---the guitar will make you play it--thanks, brent.
